About the Author
Yuko Morimoto-Yoshida is a consultant specializing in intercultural communications among employees in multinational organizations. In her consulting work, she identifies how culture influences aspects of business —such as management styles, team dynamics, sales, and communication—and she helps clients build strategies to overcome cultural differences. She has worked with clients in various industries including high-tech, finance, retail, telecommunication, and manufacturing.
Prior to consulting, Yuko spent more than ten years with a U.S. financial institution located in Japan, for whom she served as global liaison, working with colleagues and clients in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.
Yuko has a master's degree in organizational/intercultural communications. She was born and raised in Japan, has lived in Europe and Mexico, and currently resides in California. Yuko is the author of Culture Shock! Tokyo At Your Door (Graphic Arts Center Publishing Co., U.S.; Times Media Private Limited, Singapore; 2003), part of a well-known international series of books providing insights into the impacts of culture on both business and social life.
